Welcome.. FALL!!!

As the season begins, we are bustling back to school, back to a regular routine, and ready for all the fun fall things that make New England special!

At RIOTA, we have a few Fall tasks for you!! First, we have a survey from our Education Coordinator. Tania Rosa and the SIG chairs want to know what you are interested in learning about.. and if any of you have an area of expertise or skill you would like to share. Please fill out this very short SURVEY to let us know!

We are also excited to be hosting our NOVEMBER BUSINESS MEETING on Wednesday November 18th 7pm at New England Institute of Technology. We will have updates from our RA, NBCOT, RIOTA board members and a keynote by Akshay Talwar (owner of Briarcliffe, Johnston RI) who will share insight and anecdotes from his book, Diamonds of Humanity with a focus on leadership, courage, organizational culture and dignity for our consumers. We are excited to host Mr Talwar and hope that he brings you inspiration and empowerment. Stay tuned for registration and details for this presentation.

Lastly, we need YOU to become members!! Right now, we only have a small percentage of OTPs in the state as members, and we know we could be so much stronger with YOU!. Please consider coming to the November meeting, which will be free, and signing up then- or use the link below and sign up NOW!! It is a very small investment for numerous educational presentations across practice areas each year (all that can be used for contact hours for licensure) as well as the networking and connections to help with burnout and generate new ideas, and for your voice to be heard!

PS Student memberships are FREE while actively enrolled in an OT or OTA program (not limited to RI!).
